t dusk in Paris, a gold leaf curls around a slender ear like a secret shared between friends. In the hush of an exclusive salon soirée, Le Sable’s debut Pep Talk collection feels like a private affirmation worn on the body. Its pieces move as quietly as a whispered encouragement “Crois en toi” yet they ring with classical power.
Laurels Reborn in Gold
The collection’s signature motif is the laurel wreath, the ancient symbol of triumph reborn in gleaming gold. Le Sable draws on the legend of Daphne, who transformed into a laurel to escape Apollo. Each ear cuff and slide-on bracelet carries the myth’s legacy: a reminder that the wearer is capable of anything. As the press notes poetically state, through every piece the brand. In practice, this means simple, sculptural forms – sculpted laurel leaves, intertwining vines – executed in warm 18K–gold plating on rich brass. The result is both classical and modern: an antique emblem cast in the language of contemporary couture.

Couture Craft and Vision
Behind Pep Talk is founder Hala Doumal, a Paris-based designer with a vision for jewellery that speaks. Le Sable launched in 2024. In fact, Doumal’s atelier partner is the same artisan house that serves haute couture maisons – names like Schiaparelli, Balmain, Chloé, Khaite and Tom Ford are proudly invoked. This pedigree shows: every curve and clasp is crafted to couture standards. From hand-carved mold to recycled-cotton packaging – marks Le Sable as a truly luxury endeavor. The pieces have the polish of tradition but an attitude all their own.
Modern Elegance, Timeless Meaning
Le Sable’s jewellery balances old-world elegance with bold empowerment. Each piece in Pep Talk has a mantra hidden in its name and form. Ear cuffs titled “I Got You”, “You Got This” and “Everything Is Figureoutable” turn whispers of support into literal adornments. This playful duality is by design. As the brand explains, each timeless shape is “un pep talk à enfiler – un rappel audacieux du privilège d’être soi-même”. In other words, these are not quiet trinkets – they are loud affirmations in miniature. They nod to a broader luxury trend: the quiet luxury of elite circles, where underplayed branding meets deep storytelling. Instead of flashy logos, Le Sable’s wearers carry private signs of confidence: a laurel crown on the lobe, an encouraging phrase against the wrist. The result is jewelry that feels simultaneously heirloom and avant-garde.
Jewelry as Identity and Status
In the end, couture jewelry is as much about identity as it is about beauty. For global high society, a piece like Le Sable’s Pep Talk cuff is a personal crest as well as a craft object. It silently broadcasts a wearer’s values – triumph over adversity, solidarity with friends, the self-assured poise of a modern woman. In the quiet rooms of power – an embassy reception, a charity gala at the Louvre – that little golden laurel says as much as any bespoke gown or custom-made watch. It confirms status not by price tag alone, but by narrative.
Le Sable’s debut proves that even the subtlest jewel can shape how we see ourselves and are seen by others. In couture circles, jewellery has always been symbolic; Pep Talk reminds us it can be inspirational too. By the final toast of the evening, the message is clear: couture jewellery is less about bragging than belonging – it crowns us with confidence.
