n a sunlit Milanese loft, stacks of Once Milano linens lie folded like couture gowns waiting for their debut – not on the body, but on sofas, beds and tables. The ethos is literal: Once Milano is an Italian atelier that exists to “dress” the home with refined textiles. Founded in 2012, the brand quickly became synonymous with high-caliber homeware – “fine linens, elegant details and unique craftsmanship” rooted in Italian tradition. Every piece is built on a promise: create “timeless products, designed as it once was, without compromising on quality.” Each tablecloth, throw or quilt is meant to age gracefully, a classic bespoke piece that anchors an interior like a signature garment.

Craftsmanship is king. Once Milano’s fabrics feel personally worn-in thanks to meticulous garment-dyeing: a technique that “adds depth to color nuances and uniqueness to each product”. In other words, no two linens are exactly alike – each comes with a gentle patina, as if it already has a story. The brand’s catalogue even notes that “craftsmanship, refined detailing and fabrics’ softness are the flagships of Once Milano,” highlighting hand-finished details at every seam. Pipings, hand-stitched hems and vintage-inspired checks or delicate lace trims all echo this sartorial approach, turning bedsheets into heirlooms and napkins into objets d’art.

The Loungewear Line

In 2025 Once Milano stretched its linen expertise into fashion: a new loungewear collection that makes relaxation feel red carpet-worthy. As the catalogue explains, this line melds “luxury and functionality” to create garments that are both indulgently comfortable and cleanly tailored. Imagine a casual robe or linen jumpsuit cut with Once Milano suiting precision – soft against the skin yet crisply elegant in silhouette. Drawing on the same fabric mastery as their bedding, these separates translate the brand’s home-couture aesthetic into clothing. In effect, they turn the act of lounging into a sartorial statement, extending the living-room runway to the bedroom (and beyond).

Bespoke Luxury and Collaborations

Customization sits at the heart of Once Milano’s offering. The catalogue repeatedly notes “bespoke sizes upon request” for virtually every item – from tablecloths and sheets to cushion covers. A villa owner might commission king-size pillows with embroidered family crests, or a yachtsman order sash cloths in a signature hue. The company even maintains a vast color chart for home textiles, allowing clients to specify exclusive shades or trims. This made-to-order ethos reflects high-society demand: among Once Milano’s clientele are luxury hoteliers and wedding planners who spare no detail. In fact, the brand’s sartorial approach extends to partnerships with international luxury hotels (think Six Senses, Jashita) and private clubs, ensuring that refined travelers encounter Once Milano’s linens in the world’s most exclusive venues.

The collaborative mindset shows in product design as well. Teaming with interior designers and textile artists, Once Milano introduces fresh patterns and motifs each season. For example, its Studio Toogood collaboration revisited classic stripes and checks in relaxed, architectural ways. Through these creative alliances, the brand keeps its home collection fashion-forward, bridging the gap between the runways of fashion and of interior design.

Fashioning Identity at Home

Once Milano proves that luxury is an immersive identity. The brand quite literally invites you to wear the home as well as the body – its motto is to “dress” rooms with the same deliberation one dresses oneself. For the well-heeled homeowner, choosing Once Milano linens is akin to choosing couture house pieces: each embroidered hem and hand-dyed hue sends a message about taste and status. Even in repose, surroundings become part of one’s personal style narrative. After all, as the catalogue puts it, the goal is a “mise en scène where every detail matters”. In high society, a richly appointed boudoir or dining hall is more than comfort; it’s a silent signature. Once Milano’s pieces ensure that from living room to loungewear, an elegant life is on full display – a final flourish of identity that speaks just as loudly as any gown or tuxedo.
