auded Italian furniture house Henge has made a striking debut at Design Miami 2025 by unveiling its first-ever Collectors Lounge, an exclusive retreat that marries contemporary design with deep artisanal heritage. As the celebrated fair marks its 20th anniversary in Miami Beach, Henge’s lounge stands as both a bold statement of the brand’s global ambitions and a testament to Italy’s rich craft tradition. Open to the fair’s VIP collectors, design professionals, and aficionados, this immersive space invites guests to savor a moment of refined comfort amid the bustling energy of the week-long design showcase.

Crafting a Collector’s Haven in Miami Beach

Conceived by designer Ugo Cacciatori, the lounge is a study in contrasts and cohesion, where essential geometric volumes are balanced by tactile warmth and craftsmanship. The design unfolds through clean lines and architectural rigour softened by rich textures, establishing a dialogue between modern form and organic comfort. Modular seating with enveloping contours is arranged in convivial clusters, as cast metal tables interact with elegant textile upholsteries in a setting that encourages both social gathering and personal respite. At the center, a sculptural monolithic table anchors the space, inviting shared experiences while still offering a sense of intimacy for those moments of reflection.

Encircling this stylish haven are vertical walls clad in pale gold-hued metal that capture Miami’s abundant natural light, transforming it into a luminous golden backdrop. Overhead, pendant lights descend with precise, theatrical rhythm to define intimate zones beneath and add a sense of drama. On an adjacent wall, a modular Murano glass light installation shimmers, its hand-crafted glass pieces bringing an artisanal glow to the atmosphere. Every surface becomes part of a cohesive visual narrative; the chromatic palette of warm, deep tones contrasted with cool mineral accents creates a balanced ambience that feels at once powerful and intimate.

Founder Paolo Tormena underscores Henge’s vision for the space in characteristically refined terms. He describes the Collectors Lounge as

“a project that embodies our vision of contemporary luxury,”

achieved through

“the use of exceptional materials, artisanal craftsmanship and a strong sense of atmosphere”,

ultimately creating a setting that

“feels both intimate and powerful,”

he says.

Italian Heritage, Global Ambition

Henge’s debut in Miami comes as the latest chapter in a decade-long story of Italian artisanal excellence and international expansion. Founded in 2011 by Paolo Tormena in Italy, the company has evolved into a creative laboratory fusing old-world craftsmanship with visionary modern design.

In recent years, Henge has embarked on an ambitious global expansion, extending its presence to over 70 countries and collaborating with renowned architects and designers, including Ugo Cacciatori himself, to broaden its design language. The company has established showrooms in key design capitals worldwide as part of this growth. In 2024, for example, Henge inaugurated a 600-square-meter flagship in London’s Chelsea district, and that same year opened its first U.S. showroom in Miami’s Design District. These flagship spaces bring Henge’s world directly to international audiences and set the stage for deeper engagement. The new Collectors Lounge at Design Miami naturally builds on this momentum, reinforcing Henge’s growing presence in the city following the Miami showroom launch in 2024.

The Luxury of Exclusive Spaces in Design Culture

In an era when experiential luxury is paramount, a well-crafted collectors lounge is far more than a VIP rest stop, it becomes a stage for brand identity and cultural exchange. Within Henge’s lounge, invited guests don’t just rest; they are immersed in the brand’s universe, surrounded by its values of craft, quality and style at every turn.

By creating such an environment, Henge and peers are tapping into a tradition of hospitality and exclusivity that resonates strongly with global tastemakers. These lounges serve as microcosms of luxury design culture, where art, design and social interaction meld. In bringing its Collectors Lounge to Design Miami’s anniversary edition, Henge not only elevates the fair’s experience for an elite audience, but also reaffirms why exclusivity, heritage, and immersive design remain the twin pillars of high-society culture. The result is a space that is at once a haven and a beacon, a modern temple of luxury and design, highlighting how the most memorable design moments are often those we can step inside and truly experience.
